Interview Questions

Common Interview Questions

1. What are your 5 best qualities?

I am a hard worker, team player, and perform well under stress. I enjoy working and always show up on time. I'm a positive figure that can accomplish tasks assigned to me.

2. Tell me about your worst day of work?

While at the bITs program, I had a problem with my coworkers and none of us worked together. I completed the job to the best of my abilities, but had to sit down with my mentor to explain how a disagreement caused a lack of cooperation. Even though, I feel I did nothing wrong, I made amends and we sucessfully worked along side eachother to produce a terrific final project.

3. Why should we hire you?

I excel in many situations because of my work ethic. I am not only committed to this job opportunity, but I am enthusiastic about the skills I will learn.

Post Secondary Research

At one time, high school was not a requirement for a good job(full time with benefits). Today, good jobs require a minimum of high school. Post secondary education/training is any education or training received above the high school level. Post secondary education can increase a workers yearly salary $16,000/year for each year of additional education. This means that a four-year college degree can help an individual earn $64,000/year. In order to recognize the various steps required to obtain a good job, I'd like to identify tools for beginning a search and colleges that might interest me.

College Board is a tool that allows me to search for Colleges. I can do this by location and subject. The site is a little bit confusing, but after a bit of exploration, it can be very helpful.

,Temple University is one college that I found interesting. They have many great programs, diverse campus, and great location. They two very interesting programs; Geology and Geography.

I have requested information from Temple. I hope to apply for this Fall. I need to finish application process, apply for financial aid, and register for classes.

Goal Plan.

The SMART goal system can ensure that you accomplish the goals you set for yourself. SMART is an acronym; Specific, Measurable, Action, Realistic, and Time. We use these terms to qualify our goal as SMART. Goals need to be specific because we can than prepare and advance toward our achivement. A vague goal will be hard to accomplish. A measurable goal can tell us when we have completed our goal. If we do not know when we are done, then how can we accomplish it? Each person should have goals for which they can take action toward accomplishment. Taking action toward our goals is nessesary to success and that is why SMART goals are action oriented. A SMART goal is also realistic. Time limits need to be set on our goals otherwise, we may push them off forever. Accomplishing our goals gives us a sense of self-worth and motivates. Failure can do just the opposite. Using the SMART goal system we can accomplish our goals and stay motivated, even during difficult economic times.
